Ffion is a multidisciplinary artist and Associate Director of House of Absolute. Born and raised in Wales, Ffion is Welsh speaking, non-binary gender fluid with mixed heritage.

They are a movement practitioner and director within the disciplines of Contemporary, Hip hop, Krump, indigenous femininity and deity embodiment, holistic therapy, ritual, and martial arts. Ffion is a music & film producer & composer, with digital & live works in experimental art and exhibitionism. Their work explores humanitarian politics, human psychology, and spirituality, within the context of race, gender, culture, identity, voice, text & visual art.

 

Ffion has been Musical Director for the collaborative Artist in Residence between House of Absolute and The Philharmonia Orchestra, which led to Musical Directing of Warrior Queens at Sadler’s Wells main stage in May 22.

They have also been Sound Designer for two years running in the recent production Saturn Returns directed by Sonny Nwachukwu presented at Brixton House Theatre, The Queen Elizabeth Hall and NSCD Theatre Leeds this year.

Looking to the future Ffion has recently been commissioned by Arts Council Wales’s initiative called Wales Venice, to present a multidisciplinary curation involving sound design, moving image, sculpture, and movement, which will be presented in April 2023.
